By their websites you shall know them

Introduction

There are a lot of GOOD PEOPLE out there trying to help others make an extra income online but there are also lots of BAD GUYS trying to strip you of every penny you have earned from your sweat. These bad guys create cheap websites and with their elaborate videos, offer you unrealistic promises in order to lure you to empty your pockets of your hard-earned cash.

Some background

You can imagine someone offering you 3000% over your investment in just five (5) days!!! Or someone offering you a system that can make millions of $$$$$$ for free. Don’t be fooled. One of such websites is MyAffiliateInsider.com which I am going to write about in another post. Look out for it. If the promise sounds too good to be true, it likely is not true!! Where are they going to make that kind of money and pay you that kind of returns? They would probably have to make over 6000% in order to pay you 3000% returns. Ask them and let them tell you how they are getting the money to pay you. I remember I made over $18M in 24 hours with elitegains.com starting with just $100. I actually made $126.60 from them with $5 in 24 hours, requested a withdrawal of $20 just to test the system, and reinvested the $100. Guess what? The $20 withdrawal never landed in my e-currency account (thank God I tried it with just $5). Now their website is no more. This sure is a scam!
I have tried a few online investments and have lost close to $500. In fact the only program I have been able to make profit from so far is AdClickXpress.

Their websites give them away

By looking carefully at their websites, you should be able to identify most of these scammers before they can deceive you. They do not say exactly what it is that they do to earn the money that they pay you, they love to simply call it “an opportunity”. How do you invest in an opportunity when you do not know how the money is being generated to pay you? If they are not ready to tell you how they make their money, then they are likely to be scammers, who after collecting your money, will simply disappear and you have no way of tracing them to get your money back. In the case of elitegains.com, the website disappeared 72 hours after they had collected my $5. Make sure they explain on their website how they get the money from which they pay you the commissions. They do not give you an opportunity to learn about the program before you commit yourself. The website is designed in such a way that only empty promises and sign up information are displayed. Their promises of astronomical gains are so mouth-watering that you can easily be deceived.

Tips for identifying scam websites

Make sure they have a FAQ page where you can learn more about the business/program. Look out for information about the risks involved. If they are not willing to tell you about the risks that are involved, then the risk is probably too high, and you should not invest in such a place. You should also look out for details about how the program works. For example, when you put in X amount of your money, you get paid Y% for Z number of days, etc. Look out for:

  • How much you can invest
  • How much you will earn (remember if is too good to be true, it likely is not true)
  • How you will be paid, e.g. some percentage everyday, the full percentage at the end of the investment period, etc.
  • When you can withdraw your earnings, e.g. daily, weekly, at end of investment period.
  • How you can withdraw your earnings, e. g. bank wire, credit/debit card, ecurrency account.
  • Look at the affiliate commissions they are paying. I feel that affiliate commissions of more than 5% or more than 2 levels deep on affiliates’ investments (NOT PROFITS) are questionable.

This kind of information can give you an idea about the reliability of the “opportunity”. Try to find somebody you know who has invested in the program, has been paid and has been able to cash out his earnings.

Don’t fall for the empty promises

A reliable website will give you all the information necessary for you to make a decision. They will include information such as how they make the money to pay you, how you earn, how you get paid, etc. You can even contact them for further information before you join them. On the other hand, an unreliable website will never be open about such information.

Here is the trick they use: Scammers make it look like if you don’t take action (i.e. pay) immediately, the website is going to disappear (it is going to disappear anyway even if you pay because it is a scam and cannot last) and you are never going to see it again. Never mind the promises they make. Some will even offer a money back guarantee, but after you have made your payment, you can’t even access their website and you have no way of contacting them to get your money back.

So you were convinced by their initial lies and have made your payment. Immediately after that another commitment is presented to you that you have to fulfill by way of paying more money in order to start earning your astronomical returns, though they had promised that the only payment you would make in order to start earning was the first one.

ARE YOU STILL STANDING THERE? RUN FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE!!! Cut your losses and get out!!!I hope this article helps reduce the number of scam victims by at least one.
